MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDENS
OBJECTIVE:
Partner with the Missouri Botanical Garden to design bold, visually engaging materials that align with and enhance their established brand. Projects span promotional campaigns, seasonal programs, wayfinding, and educational materials—each crafted to strengthen public engagement and reflect the Garden’s mission of conservation and discovery.
DELIVERABLES:
• Print and digital collateral for events, exhibitions, and seasonal promotions
• Campaign assets including signage, posters, flyers, brochures, and web graphics
• Visual solutions for emerging needs across internal departments, rooted in brand continuity
DESIGN PROCESS:
The Missouri Botanical Garden’s identity is defined by bold diagonals, lush photography, and a vibrant color palette—all of which celebrate the richness of the natural world. Typography choices like Transat Text and Source Sans Pro give the system structure and readability, while still allowing room for creativity. The Garden’s visual energy provides abundant inspiration, using its established elements as a springboard for inventive, polished designs that feel both contemporary and cohesive.​​​​​​​
With each project, I focused on bringing fresh visual thinking while honoring the integrity of the Garden’s brand. This meant finding thoughtful ways to reimagine familiar components—such as reworking image hierarchies, experimenting with color applications, or introducing new graphic rhythms to existing layouts—to keep the materials feeling lively and relevant year after year.
For new campaigns or first-time initiatives, I developed original concepts that expanded the brand’s toolkit while maintaining visual harmony. Whether designing event signage, creating educational materials, or supporting fundraising efforts, I worked to ensure every touchpoint felt considered, engaging, and mission-aligned.
Throughout our ongoing collaboration, I’ve had the opportunity to deepen my practice in extending brand systems across varied formats and audiences. This experience has sharpened my ability to balance consistency with creativity, and to deliver adaptable solutions that remain rooted in purpose and strategy.
